POETRY TO GO heißt das Projekt, das die Lyrikerin Sabine Magnet seit 2017 verfolgt. Dabei schreibt sie mit ihrer Schreibmaschine Gedichte aus dem Stegreif nach Angaben derer, die ihr den Auftrag geben. Dieses Buch zeigt eine Auswahl der Gedichte, die im Rahmen von »Poetry to go« entstanden. Liebe, Herzschmerz, Zukunftsangst und Lebenswille finden sich hier genauso wie die Liebe zur Weißweinschorle, schlaflose Nächte mit Kindern und Mundgeruch.

»So luftig-leicht die Gedichte auf den ersten Blick daherkommen, so viel Tiefe, Wärme und Wahrheit verbirgt sich zwischen den Zeilen«, schreibt Lisa-Katharina Förster, Programmreferentin des Literaturarchivs der Stadt München, im Vorwort. »Sie sind ehrlich, echt und direkt. Sie sind Momentaufnahmen. Und sie sind nicht perfekt. Aber genau darin liegt der Zauber von »Poetry to go«: Sabine Magnet hält ein Stück Leben fest, das so banal und auch so bedeutsam sein kann. Ein Geschenk für diejenigen, für die die Gedichte geschrieben wurden – und für alle, die sie lesen dürfen.«

Das Buch wurde in Bayern produziert und klimaneutral auf Recycling-Papier gedruckt. Es hat ein FSC-Siegel und ein Klimaneutral-Siegel.

POETRY TO GO is the name of the project poet Sabine Magnet has been pursuing since 2017. With her typewriter, she sits in public spaces and writes poems on demand. This book showcases a selection of the poems Sabine has written in this manner over the years. The requests vary as much as the people who commission the poems: love, heartache, fear of the future, and the will to live are among the topic as well as the love of white wine spritzers, sleepless nights with children, bad breath, and the first period.

"As breezy and light the poems may appear at first glance, there is much depth, warmth and truth hidden between the lines," writes Lisa-Katharina Förster, program manager of the Literature Archive of the City of Munich, in the preface. "They are honest, genuine, and direct. They are snapshots. And they are not perfect. But this is exactly the magic of "Poetry to go": Sabine Magnet captures a piece of life that can be so mundane and also so meaningful. A gift for those for whom the poems were written - and for all those who may read them."

The book was produced in Bavaria. The printing process was carbon neutral and we used recycled paper. It has an FSC seal and a carbon-neutrality seal.
